We left Beaufort early for the run to Dowry Creek which is where the people of Kittiwake said they were going. Although we had our charts out we really just followed the Kittiwake.

The run was a bit rough but we were fine. We don’t think the stabilizers are working – turned them off because of a level light that keeps coming on. Prime Time is such a great boat. She is so sea-worthy.

We got to Dowry Creek. We invited the Kittiwake people over for cocktails and finally exchanged names. The Kittiwake owners are Julian and Judy Roden, who are finishing the loop, and their friends, Jim and Joan Thomas. The two couples are delightful. They have given us so much information and have offered us the use of their docks if we are in the area. Isn’t that kind?

We are planning on leaving tomorrow, weather permitting. As Julian said you got to stick your nose out and check on the weather. He said so many times people pace the docks wondering what to do. If the weather is bad, you can always come back. Great advice for me!
