We headed for Hemming Bay to anchor for the night, but alas the small perfect spot was filled, so off to Montaque Harbor we went.

This was a large area with many boats anchored. There is a Provincial Park there, but we all stayed on the boat.

Tomorrow we return to the US.

I was right! Yarn! Kelley and I walked into the historical section of Campbell River and visited the yarn shop…just a quick stop; 6 skeins of lovely pink yarn!

When we returned to Lady K, reservations had already been made for the float plane out of Roche Harbor to Lake Union. Karlyn had booked their flights home, so my task was simple: book the same trip!

Off to Tribune Bay to anchor. This is a place with a white beach and there were several people enjoying their time on it in the sun. Nice spot. Weather that night turned to be a bit windy and so the ride that night was a bit bouncy, but sleep came.

We returned to Campbell River to drop off Kathleen and Richard. It was a short journey… We had so much fun playing with them…dressed like true boaters!

The decision has been made to haul the boat in Seattle and prepare her for the trip south. Tim and Chuck are talking about which spot and when. Once a decision is made, we will make plans to fly home.

We are staying the night on the dock…I can smell it…yep, plain as can be….

Today we are going to a friend’s cabin here. They have a mooring ball that will hold a 75’ boat! Perfect. The short trip to Okeover Inlet was pleasant. Find the tree house and you are there – the directions said.

Look at that tree house!
The neighbors (David and Sari, also their caretakers) came out to greet us as the dinghy got to the Devoe’s dock.
David took was through his gardens that he has planted. There are about 3+ acres that he has planted with rhododendrons. He orders them from a special nursery – alas they were not blooming. I invited myself back, not being shy. A week either side of May 20th next year! I would love to see this garden in bloom.

Karlyn and Chuck went by dinghy to the Laughing Oyster for lunch and Kathleen, Richard, Kelley and myself walked. We sat outside at the restaurant. Very enjoyable!
The four of them took the dinghy back to the boat and Kelley and I walked back. When we got to the Devoe’s Karlyn and Chuck were picking blackberries (as they had before lunch). We joined them and added to the large container already in progress. 18 berries
There were sacrifices made! Thorns and stains….

Karlyn made a blackberry pie! Delicious!
